"A big, rich mouthful of wine, the dark ruby/purple colored 2014 Dolinsek Ranch Heritage Proprietary Red is a blend of Zinfandel, Petit Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, Grand Noir, Teroldego, Syrah, Black Muscat and even Golden Chasselas. The vineyard was planted in 1910, no doubt by Italian immigrants, and they seemed to know what they were doing, obviously hedging their bets that some of these grapes would always turn out well no matter what the vineyardâs conditions were. Incredible aromatics jump from the glass, including blackberry, blueberry, spring flowers, pepper and spice. Medium-bodied and Pinot Noir-like, with lushness and headiness, this is a beauty to drink . . ."
