"The latest in this estate’s at-least 30-year streak of outstanding, highly versatile Muscats (the first I purchased was a 1983), it’s a shame that circumstances conspired for there to be very little of it. Intense aromas of basil, peppermint and lemon grass ally themselves on a cooling, soothing, buoyant (barely 12% alcohol) and polished palate with infectiously juicy grapefruit and lemon. There is such textural polish and purity of fruit here that one has the impression of subtle sweetness supporting the luscious citrus element. The sheer juiciness not to mention exceptional length and consummate refreshment on display here are what too often go missing with this variety (albeit seldom at this address). Put this through its paces at the table and you will be amazed as well as charmed."
