"A single barrel was bottled of the Furmint elixir known as 2005 Ruster Ausbruch Turner. The very exotic aromas here include candied coconut, vanilla icing, quince jelly, and marzipan. From somewhere, this wine manages to summon up an element of fresh orchard fruit and citrus to buoy its rich, creamy, palate-carpeting marzipan and quince jelly. Like many nobly sweet Neusiedlersee wines of the vintage, a hint of butterscotch is already emerging in the finish, and I wonder whether this may not mature relatively quickly â which for an Ausbruch might mean 8-10 years. The ethereal, serene character here contrasts with the interplay of flavors in the âWings of Dawnâ cuvee."
