89-92
89-92 AM â. . . quite subtle and easily allows the overtly pepper and earth-inflected aromas of dark currant, plum and humus to be appreciated. There is more size, weight and power . . . to the medium-bodied flavors where the supporting tannic spine is slightly firmer on the delicious and more complex finale. Good stuff.â 89-92 BH âThis is the first wine to display any material wood influence though I stress that it's quite subtle and easily allows the overtly pepper and earth-inflected aromas of dark currant, plum and humus to be appreciated. There is more size, weight and power if a bit less refinement to the medium-bodied flavors where the supporting tannic spine is slightly firmer on the delicious and more complex finale. Good stuff.â

Chassagne-Montrachet is a village AOC in Burgundy's Cote de Beaune with numerous Premier Crus, renowned above all for rich, nutty, mineral Chardonnay whites, though it also makes firm Pinot Noir reds.
2014 in Burgundy is a benchmark white vintage, tense, fresh and mineral, though Cote de Beaune hail cut yields; the reds are balanced and classically proportioned, with good freshness and medium-term aging potential.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
