"Medium-deep ruby in color with a touch of brick, the 2002 Romas Vineyard Grenache offers ripe red currant and red cherry notes that are showing a little evolution, but not too much, plus a slight whiff of menthol and bay leaf. Still very young, this densely packed wine is ripe, rich and concentrated in the mouth and framed by medium-firm, very fine tannins through the long finish."

A warm-climate red giving generous, high-alcohol wines of red fruit and spice. It anchors southern Rhone blends and old-vine wines in Spain and Australia.
