"Good deep red. Tight nose hints at black cherry and smoky, rocky, silex-like minerality. Very ripe, fat and sweet, with outstanding richness and depth to the black cherry, raspberry and minerals flavors. Wonderfully round, silky, full Volnay with noble tannins and perfectly integrated acidity. Builds slowly and steadily on the back, saturating the palate with subtle fruit, mineral and earth flavors. These vines were picked at the beginning of October. A great Volnay in the making."
