". . . it will continue to represent a superb value. From tank, the Mas de la Deveze grand vin, 2007 Cotes du Roussillon Villages â half Grenache, with the rest evenly split between Syrah and Carignan, and matured in used barriques â is an intensely-concentrated essence of fresh black fruits and smoky, stony minerality, with accents of bitter, tart fruit pit and skin and resinous herbs. There is a sheer sap and vivacious, tactilely pungent and invigorating cling here that just wonât quit. The density of ripe fruit is matched by graphite and crushed stone. Assuming Bernstein has gotten this into bottle with minimal loss, it will be as fine as any wine yet from his estate."
