"The 2006 Nackenheimer Rothenberg Riesling Auslese keeps one on the path of increasing richness and elegance charted by this yearâs Gunderloch collection. A gorgeous nose of lily, gardenia, orange blossom, peach, and mango leads to a creamy, luscious mouthful of tangerine, ripe peaches, and honey. With persistent floral perfume, this Riesling wafts its way to an almost weightless yet rich, subtly mineral, and at the same time absolutely refreshing finish. The clarity, poise, and perfumed intensity put it in a class with the top Nahe or Mosel wines of the vintage. Here is a case of botrytis having ennobled the fruit without leaving any obvious, grosser manifestations behind. I canât recall a finer âregularâ Auslese at this address, and thatâs saying something! Enjoy this anytime in the next 25 years, if not beyond."

The spiritual home of Riesling, producing wines of piercing acidity, precision and longevity across a spectrum from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. Cool, steep-sloped vineyards along the Mosel and Rhine yield some of the world's most delicate, long-lived whites.
A highly aromatic white of piercing acidity and transparency to terroir, ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. It ages remarkably and is the noble grape of Germany and Alsace.
