"The 2013 Vosne from the Domaine’s own vines is really strong in this vintage. The wine was also one of the later to finish up its malo and was just getting a bit reduced at the time of my visit, but was due for a racking within the coming few weeks. The wine really has lovely stuffing this year, as it offers up a very pure bouquet of plums, black cherries, cocoa, a touch of fresh nutmeg, excellent, dark soil tones and a nice touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and tangy, with a fine core, lovely soil signature and a long, suavely tannic and bouncy finish. A fine bottle in the making."

Arguably Burgundy's most exalted village, home to legendary Grand Crus. Its Pinot Noir is renowned for perfume, silk and sublime complexity.
2013 in Burgundy was a difficult, cool and hail-hit year with a late harvest and small crop; the wines are fresh, lean and classically styled, with bright acidity and firm structure, especially the reds.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
