"The 2007 Hermannshöhle SpĂ€tlese is utterly classic in its aromatic and flavor profile, and it too is destined to be a monumental example of the vintage. The bouquet offers up a reserved and stunning blend of grapefruit, petrol, layer upon layer of slate, white grape and iris blossoms. On the palate the wine is medium-full, crisp and complex (mostly from nuances of slate today), with stunning mid-palate depth, laser-like focus, snappy acids and an utterly profound, racy and endless finish. Today this wine is coiled and will need several years in the cellar to open, but already its brilliant quality is very easy to read. Could this be even better than the BrĂŒcke SpĂ€tlese when all is said and done?"

The spiritual home of Riesling, producing wines of piercing acidity, precision and longevity across a spectrum from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. Cool, steep-sloped vineyards along the Mosel and Rhine yield some of the world's most delicate, long-lived whites.
A highly aromatic white of piercing acidity and transparency to terroir, ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. It ages remarkably and is the noble grape of Germany and Alsace.
