"We tasted the Les St. Georges 2014 out of a new cask, as the older barrels (which is what I usually taste during my visits at the domaine) were due for a racking and showing a bit of reduction. New wood- no problem here! The 2014 is a very red fruity version of this great terroir, offering up a beautiful and very sappy nose of cherries, red plums, gamebird, nutskin, strikingly complex minerality, roses and spicy wood. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and absolutely rock solid at the core, with impeccable focus, great balance and grip, ripe, seamless tannins and a very, very long, vibrant and tangy finish. Grand Vin!"

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
2014 in Burgundy is a benchmark white vintage, tense, fresh and mineral, though Cote de Beaune hail cut yields; the reds are balanced and classically proportioned, with good freshness and medium-term aging potential.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
