"The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a magnificent wine that will appeal to those who love the softer and richer side of Brunello. Proprietor Marco Bacci shows a unique talent for interpreting the Sangiovese grape and his deft work comes through clearly in this excellent vintage. This is a powerful, penetrating but elegant wine with dark cherry and blackberry softened by spice, cinnamon and licorice. The wine is tight and focused in terms of mouthfeel, but it also exhibits an expansive and generous personality. It is very young now . . ."

Italy grows more indigenous grape varieties than any other country and produces wine in all 20 of its regions. From Piedmont's Nebbiolo to Tuscany's Sangiovese, its finest wines pair structure and bright acidity with a strong sense of place.
The heartland of Sangiovese, producing Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and the Cabernet-influenced 'Super Tuscans' of the coast. Its wines balance bright acidity, savory structure and cellar-worthiness.
A powerful, age-worthy Sangiovese from the warm hills of Montalcino, requiring extended aging and prized for depth and longevity.
Tuscany's signature red, giving high-acid, savory wines of sour cherry, herbs and firm tannin. It is the backbone of Chianti, Brunello and many Super Tuscans.
