"A deeply colored rose that’s made by Jennifer Lea Tensley, the 2012 Lea Wines (Tensley) Syrah Rosé Tierra Alta is a beautiful example of the richer style of rosés coming out of California today. Showing plenty of cherry, garrigue, licorice and orange peel, it hits the palate with a rich, medium-bodied texture that has no hard edges, a seamless, silky texture and solid length on the finish. More red wine than rosé and a stand in for any number of Pinot Noirs . . ."
