"From 60+ year old vines and the vineyard is a whopping 4 ha monopole within Perrières. The restrained nose of ultra-pure, airy and cool notes of white flower, pear, green apple and freshly sliced citrus fruit is trimmed in barely discernible hints of pain grillé. The driving middle weight flavors possess good richness though the firm acid spine is such that there is no lack of detail or delineation to the lilting and seductively-textured finish that is dry, beautifully persistent and slightly austere. This is also going to need a few years of cellaring first to harmonize and develop further depth."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
A pinnacle of white Burgundy, producing taut, mineral and long-lived Chardonnay of great precision and finesse.
2013 in Burgundy was a difficult, cool and hail-hit year with a late harvest and small crop; the wines are fresh, lean and classically styled, with bright acidity and firm structure, especially the reds.
The world's most versatile white grape, producing everything from steely Chablis to rich, oaked whites. Its neutrality makes it a mirror of terroir and winemaking, and the foundation of white Burgundy and Champagne.
