"Day 1: Gorgeous nose. Leather, red currents, wet moss, tobacco, mint, really terrific vivid aromas. Palate is soft yet juicy with whipsmart acidity. Wonderful freshness and length. So juicy. Very complex and drinking so well. Reminds me of Chateau Le Puy from the Cotes de Francs. Day 2: Much richer and ripe and fruitier in day 2. Dripping with Cassis and sappy berry fruit. Also intriguing minerality. Palate is sappy and elegant with slick sleek fruit and terrific freshness. Less weight than yesterday but more fruit."

The spiritual home of Riesling, producing wines of piercing acidity, precision and longevity across a spectrum from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. Cool, steep-sloped vineyards along the Mosel and Rhine yield some of the world's most delicate, long-lived whites.
The world's most planted premium red grape, yielding deeply colored, tannic and structured wines with cassis, cedar and graphite notes. Firm tannins and acidity make it exceptionally age-worthy, whether as a varietal or the backbone of a Bordeaux blend.
