"(One-third vendange entier; not racked): Good dark red. Aromas of licorice, violet, smoke, minerals and tobacco. Tighter and livelier than the Suchots despite the fact that this parcel in the climat Les Vignes Blanche is essentially an extension of the same block of vines. Shows sneaky minerality to its flavors of purple fruits and violet pastille. The rising finish really titillates the taste buds. Boasts excellent tensile strength. Leroux told me he may not bottle this wine until May."

Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
Arguably Burgundy's most exalted village, home to legendary Grand Crus. Its Pinot Noir is renowned for perfume, silk and sublime complexity.
2013 in Burgundy was a difficult, cool and hail-hit year with a late harvest and small crop; the wines are fresh, lean and classically styled, with bright acidity and firm structure, especially the reds.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
