"The 2014 Nuits Saint Georges Village, from vines located north of the village and matured in 30% new oak, has a tightly wound, mineral-driven bouquet that will need two to three years to open. The palate is well balanced with hints of blood orange infusing the red cherry fruit, velvety in terms of texture, mimicking a decent Vosne-Romanée. This should turn out to be a stylish Nuits Saint-Georges from Emmanuel Rouget."

Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
2014 in Burgundy is a benchmark white vintage, tense, fresh and mineral, though Cote de Beaune hail cut yields; the reds are balanced and classically proportioned, with good freshness and medium-term aging potential.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
