"Bright ruby-red. Drop-dead gorgeous aromas of raspberry, cherry, blood orange, potpourri and minerals; smells like a great wine from Chambolle-Musigny. Lively red fruit flavors are complicated by notes of rose pastille and Asian spices, with firm mineral spine and a late note of orange zest providing added verve. The finish repeats the raspberry and mineral notes and clings with superb spicy clarity. As complex and delicious as this wine already is, I'd hold mine for at least another three or four years."

Spain has the largest area under vine of any country and a deep tradition of oak-aged reds. Tempranillo-based wines from Rioja and Ribera del Duero, alongside Priorat's Garnacha and Carinena, anchor its fine-wine reputation.
