"Graphite, pencil shavings, cassis, leather, cedar and grilled herbs are all super-expressive in the 2011 Rudd Oakville Estate Red. The high percentage of Cabernet Franc gives the 2011 gorgeous aromatic lift and considerable finesse. Naturally, this is a more slender wine than usual, but the 2011 emphasizes balance over pure power, and it works. Beautifully so. In light of the raw potential of both vintages, the 2011 is a more successful wine than the 2010."
