"From 65+ year old vines situated near Les St. Georges. A background touch of wood sets off ripe and densely fruited aromas of mostly black berry and cassis along with ample amounts of pungent Nuits style earth. The firm medium weight plus flavors are quite firm yet not overly rustic as the ripe structural elements are buried by the abundant extract. The balance is first rate and villages wines rarely achieve this level of quality."
