"A smoking blend of 70% old-vine Grenache (80 to 100-year-old vines) and 30% Carignan, the 2007 Fin Amour Vin de Pays des CĂ´tes Catalanes has an almost Priorat like profile with baked cherry tort, leather, hot asphalt, vanilla bean, and toasted spice qualities on the nose. This flows seamlessly to a medium to full-bodied red that has a thrilling, decadent texture, perfect balance, and a fantastic richness and length on the finish. Hedonistic, yet beautifully done and polished, with notable freshness, this serious Roussillon opens up over the evening and drinks beautifully now, yet should age gracefully . . ."
