96 DM “Still blended from the Renardes, Bressandes and Clos du Roi Grands Crus – the original idea in 2008 was to produce three separate wines – this Corton is appreciably more than the sum of its parts. Floral, direct and engaging, at least by the standards of many Cortons, it arguably reflects its producer as much as its terroir, with clove spice from 75% whole bunches, subtle wood and a long, engaging, refreshing finish.” 93 AM "From parcels measuring 0.57 ha in Clos du Roi, 1.2 ha in Bressandes and 0.5 ha in Renardes though only 1.74 ha of this are currently in production. A ripe, fresh and layered nose combines notes of plum, spice, earth and plenty of floral influences. There is fine richness to the relatively supple middle weight flavors that possess a velvety mid-palate mouthfeel along with reasonable if not special density, all wrapped in a youthfully austere, balanced and sneaky long finish where a hints of warmth and sweetness eventually emerge. This minerally effort needs to develop better depth but the potential appears to be present for that to occur."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
Corton is the Cote de Beaune's principal red Grand Cru, spanning the Corton hill across Aloxe-Corton and neighbors, producing powerful, tannic and structured Pinot Noir reds needing time to soften and unfold.
2017 in Burgundy delivered generous yields and fresh, elegant wines; the whites are especially fine, bright and precise, while the reds are charming, supple and aromatic, drinking well relatively early.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
