"The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon stays 18 months in 78% new French oak prior to being bottled unfiltered. It is a beautiful Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, with scorched earth and charcoal/barbecue smoke intermixed with crĂšme de cassis, blackberry, espresso and maybe a hint of chocolate. A wine of exceptional intensity and purity, this full-bodied, opulent wine is round, savory and generous . . . . These are two exquisite Cabernet Sauvignons from Norma Hunt, the wife of the late sports pioneer and owner of the Kansas City Chiefs, Lamar Hunt. She owns this property not far from Peter Michael winery overlooking the Bidwell Creek in Knights Valley. She has taken advantage of this site by planting Cabernet Sauvignon on the rich, gravelly soils. The clones she uses are 337 and 4, and the wines are 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, made with the consulting assistance of Philippe Melka. The estate encompasses 50 acres, of which 15.1 is in Cabernet Sauvignon vines."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
The world's most planted premium red grape, yielding deeply colored, tannic and structured wines with cassis, cedar and graphite notes. Firm tannins and acidity make it exceptionally age-worthy, whether as a varietal or the backbone of a Bordeaux blend.
