"Coming from the Hossfeld Vineyard, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Coliseum Block displays a deep garnet-purple color and a seriously earthy/meaty nose, conjuring notions of charcuterie and chargrill over a core of crème de cassis and preserved plums, plus wafts of tar and star anise. Full-bodied with intense black fruit preserves and savory layers, the muscular fruit is well framed by grainy tannins and appealing freshness, finishing with great length and depth. 280 cases were made."
