"The 2016 Corton-Renardes Grand Cru is reduced on the nose, although it should blow off with time to reveal the blackberry, raspberry and marine scents underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, saturated tannins and well judged acidity. Whilst it does not quite deliver the complexity I would have liked, it has a velvety sheen and a caressing finish. Tasted blind at the 2016 Burgfest tasting."
