"Now this is what you call a Burgundy wine. A mature deep brick core with tawny rim. The nose is simply spellbinding, quite intense with scent of iron filings sprinkled over that deep Pinot Noir bouquet. A sensuous palate with a silky texture, bewitching poise and if anything, tending to "firm up" in the glass. There is real tannic structure underneath those lush, slightly gamey Pinot Noir fruit. Not just Grand Cru quality, but great Grand Cru quality. A giant of a wine that has the potential to last . . . . Awesome. Tasted December 2005."
