"Moderate bricking with a still ruby core. A ripe nose that is now a mix of secondary and tertiary fruit character with sous-bois, warm earth and a hint of the sauvage leads to nicely rich, full and mildly rustic flavors that still display some structure though it's not aggressive in the fashion of many excessively tannic '76s today, all wrapped in a sappy and lingering finish. This won't win any awards for elegance but it's sound and altogether delicious. Moreover, it's holding well and should be capable of another 20 years of life, perhaps more."
