"Knockout nose delivers an infusion of berries complicated by flinty minerality, charcuterie, orange zest and warm gravel. Wonderfully fleshy, silky and sweet, if not quite as expressive in the middle palate today as the Camaspelo or Flying Pig blends. But this wine is brilliantly refined and fresh. Finishes firmly tannic and distinctly tangy. Christophe Baron describes this wine as "our answer to Palmer's Alter Ego," but this is more concentrated and richer in extract."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
The world's most planted premium red grape, yielding deeply colored, tannic and structured wines with cassis, cedar and graphite notes. Firm tannins and acidity make it exceptionally age-worthy, whether as a varietal or the backbone of a Bordeaux blend.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
