"The 2008 Cros Parantoux was also showing outstanding potential, though it was a bit more closed on the nose than the les Brulées. The bouquet offers up a youthful blend of black cherries, black raspberries, lead pencil, very complex minerality, coffee bean and a fair bit of spicy new wood. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and very pure, with a long and racy personality, fine mid-palate depth, ripe tannins and snappy acids on the bright and transparent finish. A fine, fine bottle in the making."
