"From a parcel adjacent to the Mugneret sistersâ excellent holdings in this superb cru, the Tremblay 2005 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes smells hauntingly of oriental spices, tart red raspberry, red currant and rhubarb, autumnal forest floor, truffle, and distant smoldering leaves. For all of its invigorating brightness of fruit (not to mention recent bottling), this boasts a strikingly creamy texture and plenty of deep, dark complexities. It finishes memorably long on a chalky sense of minerality, a persistent refrain of bright fruit, and repeated glimpses of woodland growths and creatures. Happily, this downright irresistible and thought-provoking wine represents a large lot by Tremblay standards: around 200 cases."
