"I have loved this wine since the first time I tasted it at the domaine five years ago, and it was showing just beautifully during my visit in March. The bouquet is focused, sappy and beautifully reflective of its underlying terroir, wafting from the glass in a fine blend of red and black cherries, red plums, mustard seed, great complex minerality, gamebirds and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and gently sappy at the core, with great transparency and nascent complexity, tangy acids, suave tannins and a marvelously elegant and vibrant, long finish. This is stellar juice and really not all that far away from really starting to drink in its plateau."
