"The 2013 Cotes Catalanes Pharaon is a tiny production release thatâs the top six barrels in the winery. A blend of two-thirds Grenache and one-third Syrah that was aged in equal parts new and used oak, it has thrilling notes of crème de cassis, licorice, vanilla bean and crushed rock to go with a big, full-bodied, decadent, yet still elegant and classy profile on the palate. This beauty opens up in the glass and shows more violet and floral-like nuances."
