"Even better, the 2016 Chardonnay Toyon is made from the Wente, 76, and 95 clones of Chardonnay and comes from a cold, southwest facing slope in Carneros. Also brought up in 30% new barrels, it has a richer, honeyed, concentrated style as well as terrific notes of white flowers, citrus and subtle tropical and tart pineapple notes. Itâs another fabulous wine from Jean Hoefliger that has both richness and freshness."
