"Saturated, opaque ruby. Exotic, flamboyant aromas of kirsch, cassis, coconutty oak, chocolate and candied mint; the mint note builds with air but does not turn green. Large-scaled, fat and viscous in the mouth, displaying powerful, densely concentrated flavors of ripe cherry, blackcurrant, mocha, gingerbread and fruitcake, plus a wallop of bourbony, toasty oak. Sweet and long on the finish, with completely absorbed tannins. This became richer and thicker with air and may be the best example of a Bin 707 I've ever tasted."

Renowned for powerful, richly fruited Shiraz, most famously from the Barossa Valley, alongside age-worthy Cabernet and cool-climate whites. A warm climate and old, ungrafted vines produce wines of generosity and depth.
The world's most planted premium red grape, yielding deeply colored, tannic and structured wines with cassis, cedar and graphite notes. Firm tannins and acidity make it exceptionally age-worthy, whether as a varietal or the backbone of a Bordeaux blend.
