"Lignier's remarkable 1991 Clos de la Roche is even more concentrated and powerful than his 1990. Opaquely colored with a promising but unformed bouquet of minerals, black fruits, and toasty new oak, there is significant tannin in this powerful wine. One of the superstars of the vintage . . ."
