"From a 0.7 ha parcel in Les Rouges du Bas. A brooding, floral and pungently spicy nose features notes of plum and dark berry fruit scents that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is outstanding richness to the full-bodied and attractively textured flavors that possess good muscle yet the overall mouth feel is relatively refined and this sense of refinement continues onto the powerful and moderately austere but well-balanced finale. This should be excellent in time."

Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.

A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
