"The 2010 Marquis de Laguiche Montrachet is one of the finest white wines of the vintage in the Côte de Beaune and probably the greatest young examples of this wine I have ever had the pleasure to taste. The simply stunning nose offers up a brilliant blend of delicious apples, pears, lemon chiffon, a magical tapestry of chalky minerality, orange blossoms, hints of the butter to come and a beautiful framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and stunningly elegant, with great depth in the mid-palate, the beautiful silkiness of the best whites of the vintage in strong evidence at the core, magical complexity, snappy acids and perfect focus and balance on the endless and seamless finish. A brilliant, brilliant young example of Montrachet."
