" A stunning wine, the 2007 Domaine de la Janasse Côtes du Rhône Villages Terre d'Argile is a blend of equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre with the Syrah and Mourvèdre both being aged in new barrique and the Grenache seeing only vat. The wine possesses an upfront, perfumed character with blackberries and cassis fruit, meat, vanilla and earth notes literally jumping from the glass. Medium bodied on the palate, the wine possesses fantastic, ripe fruit, a silky, textured mouth feel and a long, rich finish."
