"This score is incredible for this vintage. The bottle showed very well - better than in Paris 12 months ago. Is it attributable to a longer decant, to the cork, or just the state of the wine right now? Intense color: dark and beautiful. Intense nose too: fine, fruity, pure, and finely truffled, with a note of coconut. Superb entry in the mouth - soft. The wine develops with a meticulous texture, melting yet powerful with a beautiful note of truffle. A fine-grained finale. Superb!"

The world's largest fine-wine region, built around blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Divided by the Gironde estuary into the structured Left Bank and the plush, Merlot-led Right Bank, it is the historic benchmark for age-worthy claret and sweet Sauternes.
The Left Bank appellation prized for perfumed, silky and elegant Cabernet-based wines. Gravel soils yield claret of aromatic finesse and refinement.
