"The 2011 Chablis Mont de Milieu Vieilles Vignes is dazzling. A wine of breathtaking textural finesse, the 2011 impresses for its balance and harmony. Hints of almond, hazelnut, smoke and dried pears all flesh out in the glass, followed by insistent saline notes that become more prominent as the wine comes to life in the glass. The 2011 was vinified 40% in oak, which certainly adds a layer of textural depth and volume, but without robbing the wine of any of its purity. This is a wine of extraordinary precision and class, not to mention one of the clear highlights of the vintage."
