"The Les St. Georges had been racked fifteen days before my visit, but was also showing extremely well (particularly on the nose). The nascent complexity here on both the nose and palate is exceptional, as the wine jumps from the glass in a blaze of black cherries, dark berries, espresso, woodsmoke, complex soil tones, fresh herbs and a whisper of new wood somewhere in the mix. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very long, with great focus, fine-grained tannins and excellent grip on the finish. This wine was just a touch agitated by its racking on the backend in November, but the inherent quality here was self-evident and all the wine needed was a bit of time to settle back in. A great wine in the making."
