"... The ultimate potential of this wine is very easy to see, as the wine offers up a deep and beautifully red fruity and very transparent nose of cherries, blood orange, woodsmoke, coffee, fresh herbs, quince, a beautiful base of soil and incipient notes of gamebird. On the palate the wine is deep, fullish and tight as a drum, with a rock solid core of pure fruit, ripe tannins, excellent focus and balance and a very, very long, youthful and soil-driven finish. Given how shut down this wine is today, I am probably underrating it a tad."
