"The 2013 Roulot Tillets, as is typical of this lieu à dit, is a bit more elegant out of the blocks than the Luchets, but every bit as fine this year. The refined bouquet offers up scents of apple, lime blossoms, almonds, incipient notes of pastry cream, chalky soil tones and a nice base of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, tight and young, with a fine core, bright acids and excellent focus and grip on the long, racy finish. This sense of reserve out of the blocks is pretty rare in 2013 and augurs very well for the future development of this lovely Tillets."

2013 in Burgundy was a difficult, cool and hail-hit year with a late harvest and small crop; the wines are fresh, lean and classically styled, with bright acidity and firm structure, especially the reds.
