"This is one of three black-label special selections made by Le Ragnaie. The 2017 Brunello di Montalcino Casanovina Montosoli has a tonic and bright character with dark fruit flavors, blackcurrant and tarry smoke. The wine feels tightly knit and compact, but it takes on more volume and momentum, especially as it hits the palate. In fact, it ends on a long and polished note with some crushed limestone or dusty mineral. Production is limited to 2,900 bottles."

Italy grows more indigenous grape varieties than any other country and produces wine in all 20 of its regions. From Piedmont's Nebbiolo to Tuscany's Sangiovese, its finest wines pair structure and bright acidity with a strong sense of place.
The heartland of Sangiovese, producing Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and the Cabernet-influenced 'Super Tuscans' of the coast. Its wines balance bright acidity, savory structure and cellar-worthiness.
A powerful, age-worthy Sangiovese from the warm hills of Montalcino, requiring extended aging and prized for depth and longevity.
Tuscany's signature red, giving high-acid, savory wines of sour cherry, herbs and firm tannin. It is the backbone of Chianti, Brunello and many Super Tuscans.
