"Pale in colour but it holds to the rim, with a delicate nose of cherry, strawberry, blood orange, plum and slight menthol herbal notes. This is a wine that a wine that seduces with perfume rather than power. The tannins are full and fine; the acidity is clear, bright and defined. David Hirsch planted vines on the Sonoma Coast in the 1980s and has since become one of California's great names in Pinot Noir. Heavy clay and some leafroll virus stressed these vines into producing ethereally flavoured grapes."
