"Always the most exotic and perfumed of Christopheâs wines, the 2009 Cayuse Syrah En Chamberlin Vineyard doesnât disappoint. Utterly profound on the nose, with loads sweet cherry, raspberry, and cassis styled fruit thatâs balanced by notions of lavender, exotic spice, roasted meats, graphite, and mineral, this hits the palate with a seamless, energetic mouth feel, brilliant mid-palate depth, and a classically styled, focused and mineral-drenched finish. While spectacular now (decant), it should ideally be given 2-3 years in the cellar, at which point it should evolve gracefully for two decades."
