"The 2014 Block B from the Paderewski vineyard was made with 40% whole clusters and aged 18 months in 61% new French oak barrels and puncheons. Harvested September 9-15 this vintage, it's a stunning Syrah with the potential to age another decade or more in the cellar. Deep ruby-purple, it explodes with pure wild blueberries, dark cherries, violet and accents of mint, pipe tobacco and dark spice. All that youthful fruit is supported by a very finely grained frame, and it finishes with expressive, floral character and great length. 490 cases were made."
