"The 2013 CĂ´te-RĂ´tie Terrasses is cut from the same cloth yet has slightly more depth. Black raspberries, dried flowers, pepper, and gamey, olive and bacon fat notes give way to a medium to full-bodied, ethereally textured, seamless CĂ´te-RĂ´tie that has sweet tannin, no hard edges, and a great finish. This is an incredibly impressive 2013 (most 2013s are more angular and backward) thatâs already drinking beautifully yet promises to shine for another 10-15 years. These are the first releases Iâve tasted from vigneron Jean-Luc Jamet, who left the family estate in 2013."
