"Leading with an overtly crushed stone note already in the nose, Bossardâs 2009 Muscadet de Sevre et Maine Sur Lie Expression dâOrthogneiss presents a slightly more austere palate than its gneiss counterpart, with quinine and lemon pip bitterness as well as chalk and stone accenting a brightly lemony matrix. Here the long finishing impression is invigorating but also cheek-pinching. Over the next couple of years in bottle the wine will lose some of its audacity and almost certainly gain complexity. There is no need to worry about having to drink Bossardâs Muscadets in their first year."
