"This isn't quite as elegant or spicy as the Grands Echézeaux and Amoureuses yet it's more aromatically complex than either of them with its wonderfully fresh nose of red pinot fruit liqueur, earth and smoked meat scents that evidence additional nuances of spice. The suave palate impression is one of striking richness and impressive concentration where the abundant dry extract coats the mouth and buffers the very firm tannins before terminating in an impeccably well-balanced and explosively long finish. A knockout."
